For those who knew Steve "Lightning" Little, there was never a greater champion inside or outside the ring.

Career Highlights:

Compiling a professional record of 25-17-3, he won the World Boxing Association super middleweight title in February 1994 by defeating Michael Nunn in London.

Little captured the International Boxing Commission super middleweight title in August 1996 by defeating Joaquin Velezquez at Reading Municipal Stadium. The fight was part of the Reading Rumbles" event, which Little was instrumental in initiating.

Before turning professional, he won the 119-pound Philadelphia Novice Golden Gloves title in 1977 and was a Berks County welterweight champion.

He began boxing with the Reading Police Athletic League and learned the sport of boxing at Rapino Art of Boxing, Reading.

Little was also involved with the Olivets Boys & Girls Club, Reading, PA.

He had also been employed three years as the director of recreational activites for teens by the City of Reading.
